Imetame Logística Porto has taken another important step in the port’s construction work: driving the piles for the construction of the container quay.

The piles serve as a base for the construction of the quay, which ranges in length from 18 to 36 meters, and a volume of 6,150 m³ of concrete (15,400 tons) will be needed to manufacture and position the 620 piles in this first phase.

This is an important milestone in the progress of the port’s works, with the pile driving expected to be completed in the second half of 2025, when we will have 750 meters of quay.  However, in the first half of 2025, we will already have 400 meters of quay ready for the start of operations.
