Contributing to the improvement of urban mobility and logistics of the city of Aracruz, ES, and neighboring regions, Imetame, in a public-private partnership with City Hall and AMEAR (Businesses Association of Aracruz), licensed and built the northern stretch of the Contorno Norte de Aracruz road.

This historic project will allow Aracruz to alleviate the impact of decades of load trucks and heavy vehicles crossing the center of the municipality, as it connects BR Norte, BR Sul, and ES 257, thus circumventing the municipal headquarters. The company obtained all the licensing and carried out the construction of the northern section, aiming to meet an environmental license condition, but went even further by also licensing the southern section of the road.

Imetame was responsible for the earthmoving, deep dredging, and road signaling services of the 7.2 km long stretch of road, which is to be paved by DER, in partnership with the state government.

Other actions that will provide improvements and industrial economic development to the waterfront region are underway. For example, Imetame is already in partnership with the state government and City Hall for the licensing of the Barra do Sahy Road, which will transfer road flow from the waterfront to the south of the port region, where there is a high density of industries and companies, thus reducing heavy traffic and prioritizing light vehicles, which will be provided alternatives routes in the north and south directions via ES 010. These initiatives increasingly seek the prosperity of the region through the harmonious relationship between the port and the city.
